AREA RETAIL MANAGER (MANAGERESS)

Requirements:

3+ years managerial work experience in the retail (preferably, clothes or footwear)
A Higher or advanced vocational education degree in Business field
Analytical thinking, result-oriented
Insistence on a high standard and integrity
The ability to take on responsibility
An interest in the newest fashion trends
Industriousness, dutifulness
Fluent in Dutch and English languages
French language would be an advantage
A driver’s licence
The availability to frequently travel within Belgium

Job description:

Full responsibility for a number of schops
Budget planning and fulfilment in the subordinate shops
Organisation of work in assigned shops
The control of the shops
Training of the new staff

BALTIC TEXTILE TRADING BVBA is strengthening its team and currently looking for an

OFFICE ADMINSTRATOR

(with basic accountancy duties) to work in the vintage clothing retail chain THINK TWICE in Antwerp.

You will be reporting to the Commercial Director handling daily office administration duties and assisting an External Accountant with some basic accountancy duties (training provided).

This position will interest you if you have strong administrative skills and are seeking to gain experience in basic accountancy, especially if you are training in Accountancy, Finance or similar field.

Duties

 

Office administrator duties:

  • Reception duties including answering the phone and liaising with Head office, Warehouse manager, Shop Managers, etc.
  • General office duties including travel orders, payments, post and banking.

 

Accountancy duties (training provided):

  • Conduct book-keeping on day-to-day basis from initial accounting documents: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, closing and reporting, VAT Returns
  • Liaising with SD-Worx for payroll and preparation accounting books and managerial reports
  • Responsible for timeliness and fullness of accounting records to assure timely completion of monthly, quarterly or annual records closings for Chief Accountant.
  • In a timely manner provide accurate required data for Management reporting.
  • Control and participate in periodic inventory stock takings.

 

Requirements


Essential:

  • Education in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Administration or similar (may be in final year of studies/training)
  • Dutch and English language skills;
  • Experience in MS office environment;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to be a proactive team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong time management skills

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of local Accounting principles
  • Experience of working as an accountant assistant.
